Blue Canyon Country Club (Canyon) Special

Blue Canyon's Canyon Course is possibly the jewel of Thai courses and easily the most famous. The Canyon Course is noted for hosting of the Johnnie Walker Classic on three occasions, most recently this March 2007 and for Tiger Woods win over Ernie Ells overcoming an 11 shot deficit on the last day. The excellent surroundings and challenging par fours and threes make this a must for all serious golfers visiting Phuket. The course has maintained its original design for those players who have not seen it in a few years but the growth of trees and shrubs has narrowed the fairways considerably and plays a few shots harder than before. The Clubhouse at Blue Canyon Resort is relatively the same as past years with service good and all the amenities expected of a 5 star golf course.

Blue Canyon Country Club (Lakes)

Blue Canyon's Lakes Course, sister to the Canyon Course presents a formidable challenge for the average golfer both in terms of play and scenic surroundings. The 18th hole is a great finishing hole rivaling its counterpart on the Canyon Course. The course underwent extensive renovation two years ago and is more interesting now than before and of course offers one ammenity that the Canyon Course does not - Golf Carts. The course is excellent value for money on Phuket and should be considered when you plan your golf holiday in Thailand. The Clubhouse at Blue Canyon Resort is relatively the same as past years with service good and all the amenities expected of a 5 star golf course.

Laguna Phuket Golf Club

Laguna Phuket Golf Club is really not the same course you may have played a few years ago. Upkeep is top notch now and the layout has undergone very positive changes with new tee boxes offering a very different view of most holes. The back nine still features water on eight holes. Excellent Clubhouse and Food! The caddies are extremely well trained and will make your play on this course quite enjoyable.

Loch Palm Golf Club

The Loch Palm Golf Club course meanders around a lake and through the rolling hills offering spectacular views and an excellent golf experience. The layout is quite scenic and challenging and the greens are some of best in Phuket. Refreshing breezes usually cool the course. The course has undergone a lot of upgrading over the last year and is really a new course relative to the course of a couple of years ago. The caddies are excellent and speak English quite well and it is good to listen to them as the girls seem to know accurate distances and the putting lines quite well. The clubhouse is very good.

Mission Hills Phuket Golf Club

Mission Hills Phuket Resort & Golf Club has improved dramatically. This Jack Nicklaus designed course sits on the inward side of Phuket Island and is laid out close to the inward sea. Relatively flat, the outward nine streaches from mountain-side to seaside with numerous bunkers and narrow fairways. The ocean manages to create a hazard on 4 holes of this nine. The back nine also leads to the sea with the majority of holes coming back to the club through the mountains and ending in a treacherous par 4 as the finishing hole. The caddies are great here and the girls will assist to your every need during your round of play. The clubhouse is 1st Class with excellent accommodations from golf view rooms to luxurious suites. The resort's dining facilities are very good.

Phuket Country Club

Phuket Country Club is the oldest golf course in Phuket and set on an undulating piece of terrain created from a former tin mine and every hole of the first 18-hole layout provides a different playing experience. The 557-yard, par-5, 10th hole on the Old Course is one of the most unusual holes you will ever play on your golf holiday in Thailand. You actually have an opportunity to get onto a par five hole in one! This is a fun golf course to play and the caddies like to join in the fun and the girls are very friendly as well as knowledgeable. . The club is very near to Patong Town and allows for a quick round and some time at Patong Beach in the same day. The clubhouse is very good.

Red Mountain Golf Club

Red Mountain Golf Club offers a stunning layout in the mountains of Phuket. This has already become a real favorite of golfers coming to Phuket. Sister Course to Loch Palm Golf Club, this spectacular design is fun to play, offers numerous challenges and fantastic scenery. The layout offers a combination of short par fours with tricky elevation changes and some very good par fives with an opportunity to eagle for the longer hitters. All the par threes are unique with the 17th hole offering a spectacular down-hill shot of over 100 feet to a relatively small green. When you play this course the first time, you will definitely need help from your Thai caddie to sort our the line of play. The girls are exceptionally well trained and will assit your every need while out on the course. The Clubhouse is Excellent.
